From Spotlight to Pre-Seed Success: Salesforge’s AI Copilot Secures Funding for Growth

Salesforge is an all-in-one sales execution super app used as AI co-pilot and soon autopilot to give every sales team the highest probability of hitting their target.

The platform can be used for small and large sales teams, augmented with AI agents, and even replacing sales teams in full. They do this by enabling real-time AI & machine learning to decision-critical sales activities, enhancing messaging in every language and eliminating the need for various sales point solutions, therefore driving superior conversion rates.

We had the pleasure of witnessing their drive and innovation on our Spotlight stage last year. Frank Sondors, CEO and co-founder of Salesforge (👉🏻you can see his pitch here), witnesses that our startup program and competition was a unique opportunity for them:

“Having finished 2nd in the Spotlight, we got plenty of visibility in the whole region amongst the whole tech community. One of the Spotlight judges namely Fiedler Capital invested later in our round. After pitching on the stage, we onboarded 10+ startups to help them scale in Europe and the US, so we didn’t just get the VC contacts, but also plenty of leads, which gave us the necessary boost in client numbers. Apart from that, we also got plenty of publicity in the media, which helped us to solidify our brand name in the European market.”

Spotlight 2023 took place at How to Web Conference, in October of last year. What happened with Salesforge since then?

“Since Spotlight 2023, we have released a 2nd product namely Mailforge.ai which provisions the necessary infrastructure of domains and mailboxes for sales teams to run their email motions. We have onboarded 800+ clients in 6 months helping us quickly get to $1M ARR with a team of four, which makes us one of the best-performing SaaS companies on the planet right now. Our focus now lies in scaling the team to 20 employees and releasing AI agents later this year within Salesforge to help sales leaders to augment their sales teams and even replace in full, which is part of our mission to make companies leaner & meaner.” says Frank.

Fast-forward to today, Salesforge has big news to announce – they have secured $500K in pre-seed funding to build a future-proof AI co-pilot in B2B Sales.

The AI copilot for sales execution has raised $500K from BADideas.fund, Spring Capital, Fiedler Capital and super angel Maciej Zawadzinski, supercharging the team’s ambition to redefine the landscape of B2B sales.

As Frank notes, this ex-Google, Kevin and Horde co-founder team is building a product to make sales teams leaner and meaner. Having led large sales teams, most recently as SVP Sales at Whatagraph, Frank observed that the prevailing model of large, expensive sales teams that relies on volume-based tactics like mass emailing and cold calling, is outdated.

“B2B sales leaders increasingly find themselves between a rock and a hard place – on the one hand, the buyer personas are tired of generic messaging, pushing sales leaders for larger and more personalized campaigns. On the other hand, email providers are introducing stricter deliverability standards, making oldschool spray-and-pray campaigns obsolete,” he shares. “We believe that the sales teams of tomorrow are going to be very lean and execution will be more programmatic, which will drive significant conversion lift across the sales funnel. Our approach combines a keen focus on multi source AI personalization with an eye for deliverability, which is underscored by a flexible, usage-based pricing model, solving the problem of bloated teams.”

For now, Salesforge has two products – Salesforge and Mailforge, which, when taken together, address both of these challenges. Salesforge crafts unique emails in any language with a big focus on deliverability, while Mailforge provides the necessary infrastructure with easy domain & mailbox management.

“Salesforge capitalizes on an opportunity in a market that currently sees tectonic shifts leveling the playing field for new entrants. AI-driven personalization and tightening email controls, taken together with rising labor costs, have created a world where single-person sales teams are not just possible, but they can thrive. Dogfooding their own product for months, Salesforge is the prime example of that,” highlights Raimonds Kulbergs, CEO of BADideas.fund.

The current funding round will fuel Salesforge’s growth to unlock new channels, and enable autonomous capabilities together with CRM integrations to cover the entire pipeline generation process. The team’s current growth is a testament to its hunger – having bootstrapped until now, Salesforge has attracted over 800+ customers across the US and EMEA growing to $1M ARR in less than 10 months with only a four-person team.

Looking forward, Salesforge wants to become an AI-age ecosystem of sales tools known as forges for B2B sales teams, on par with another regional success story, Pipedrive, which became a unicorn by redefining the CRM landscape.
