Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the rules for the registration and purchase of tickets for How to Web Conference or any other related How to Web events and the terms and conditions for the attendance at the above mentioned events.

How to Web reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted on this website. Applicable from May 25, 2018.

1. DEFINITIONS

Agreement: means the agreement between you and How to Web regarding the purchasing of a ticket and/or the registration for How to Web Conference, including these Terms and Conditions.

Ticket: the document that serves as an admission ticket for How to Web Conference, including electronic tickets.

Website: the howtoweb.co website

How to Web: is the official organizer of the How to Web Conference, Romanian registered company, headquartered in Bucharest, D.I. Mendeleev 5, 1ST floor, 2nd district.

You: means every legal entity or natural person that enters into an agreement with How to Web by purchasing a Ticket and/or registration for an Event.

2. TERMS & CONDITIONS

Deviations from these Terms and Conditions shall only apply when agreed in writing between You and Link2Online. The applicability of any of your purchasing or other general terms and conditions is expressly rejected, unless agreed otherwise by How to Web in writing. By purchasing a Ticket or registering for an Event You agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

How to Web has provided You with these Terms and Conditions before concluding the Agreement. The Terms and Conditions can be consulted via the Website www.howtoweb.co/terms-and-conditions/.

3. DECLARATION OF CONSENT

I hereby give my consent for How to Web to collect, process and use my personal data for the purposes of processing the purchase of my ticket and for any other use to which I have consented, including the importation of contact information for which I have provided my explicit prior consent.

4. PURCHASING TICKETS

By clicking the button “Order Confirmation” and introduce option for Payment method, you will complete the Ticket Purchasing Process on the Website. Therefore, you conclude an agreement with How to Web for the purchase of a Ticket. Therefore, it is necessary that You have filled in all necessary fields on the order form and have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

You hereby give your consent for the mandatory and voluntary data collected from you in the course of purchasing and or registering for tickets sold by How to Web, via its agreed ticketing partner, Ove or any other ticketing platform, used for this purpose solely.

You further give your permission for your user account details to be stored. You acknowledge that You may provide How to Web a reasonable timeframe to remove your details at any time that you no longer wish them to be stored. You acknowledge and accept that your data will be used for commercial purposes in accordance with this Data Protection Policy and Privacy Notice and will be retained and stored for this purpose. Should you wish your data to be removed you must request How to Web to do so in writing. Requests will be processed within a 30-day period.

5. TICKETS POLICY

You cannot resell a ticket. This includes all types of tickets or VIP invitations that may grant access to the event, in part or in full. Doing so will void the ticket and the ticket holder will not gain entry into the event.

All tickets must be assigned to an attendee, and all attendee details must be 100% complete within 30 days of receipt of your ticket, but no later than 5 days prior to the event dates. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes name, job title, company name e-mail address and phone number. Ticket reassignment after this date is prohibited.

If you have secured a complimentary ticket but have already bought a ticket, you are not eligible for a refund.

Delivery Policy

Once a successful purchase transaction has been completed, tickets are delivered in electronic soft-copy via email to the email address nominated by the purchaser. The ticket acts as a receipt for the transaction and can be used to redeem entry at the event listed on the ticket.

You must pay the registration fee prior to the start of the Event at the venue. How to Web can ask for on the spot online payment in case no fees are received yet. There is no sales at the door of the venue.

When you register a Ticket and choose the ‘order by bank transfer’ option, you’ll be obliged to pay the invoice within fifteen (15) days of the invoice date, but no later than five (5) days prior to the Event.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

All purchases of tickets for conferences and events are non-refundable in their entirety after the 30 day cooling off period. Any Refund Processed is subject to the corresponding transaction fee (according to bank official fees/ taxes/charges). Your ticket remains the property of How to Web and is a personal revocable license, which may be withdrawn, and admission refused at any time upon a refund of the printed registration price. Refund is not possible within 30 days prior to the event.

The tickets purchased are for your own personal use or that of your business only and may not be resold under any circumstances, including but not limited to use as part of any promotion or competition, unless such mechanism has been approved by How to Web, or is part of an agreed and signed partnership with How to Web. Where there has been any resale or attempted resale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term), we reserve the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect.

How to Web will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. The unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment at events and conferences is prohibited. You consent to film and sound recording as attendees at any event or conference.

You bare the risk of loss, theft, misappropriation or damage of the Ticket after How to Web, has sent the confirmation e-mail with the Ticket. You are advised to save the confirmation e-mail carefully and if You have not received the confirmation e-mail within 24 (twenty-four) hours to contact How to Web, team, via E-mail: [email protected], Facebook messenger: https://www.facebook.com/HowtoWeb/

How to Web will not be liable for the granting of any visas that are required to attend any event or conference. Invitations to serve this purpose may be issued upon request (email [email protected]) but shall not feature any official seal/ stamp/ affidavit from the corresponding authorities.

Name changes will be facilitated free of charge. No name changes will be facilitated 5 working days prior to the commencement of the event and the ticket price will be forfeited.

6. EVENT POLICY

How to Web is not responsible for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of substitution, alteration, cancellation or postponement of an Event. In the case of an unexpected incident or force majeure, How to Web reserves the right to make changes to the date and time for all parts of the Event at least one (1) week prior to the Event. In the case of rescheduling of an Event, You may return your Ticket(s) before a deadline set by How to Web, however, preferably immediately after the announcement of the new Event date. After the deadline has expired, How to Web will not be obligated to reimburse any registration fees.

How to Web reserves the right to make changes to the Events at a date less than one week before the Event if there is a justified reason to do so, such as unexpected problem with the venue, or if a speaker is prevented from participating. Please note that while speakers and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of How to Web may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, How to Web reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to You whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the www.howtoweb.co Website as soon as possible.

How to Web maintains a Code of Conduct applicable to all attendees of an Event, including You. This Code of Conduct forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions. The Code of Conduct can be accessed by clicking on the following link: www.howtoweb.co/code-of-conduct/.

Aforementioned Code of Conduct is also available at the Event venue at the How to Web information desk.

How to Web preserves the right to refuse Your admission to the Event for any behaviour How to Web deems unacceptable, or if You breach the Code of Conduct or breach any of the Terms and Conditions.

Age Limit

If You are under the age of 18 You are not allowed to visit the Event venue before, during or after an Event, unless permission is provided by How to Web under the conditions set by How to Web.

Intelectual Property

The possession of a Ticket or admission to an Event does not grant you permission to use any intellectual property, including logo, website, trademark or any other proprietary right of How to Web or any third party, such as other guests or speakers at an Event. 

7. PERSONAL INFORMATION

When personal information (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number) is provided through the How to Web website, How to Web third party ticketing or event platforms, or directly to us by e-mail you give consent to How to Web for:

  1. Processing and managing your personal data to perform all necessary actions to give effect to your request or instructions
  2. Retaining a record of all relevant communications (e.g. email) to process your request or instructions

How to Web may also collect the following information about you:

  1. Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site.
  2. Name and physical shipping, contact and payment addresses.
  3. Email address and telephone numbers
  4. Social Media profiles, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin

If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence.

Information we receive from credit reference and fraud detection agencies or other third parties we may use to verify your information. We may ask you to complete surveys for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

Use of Personal Data for Advertising Purposes

How to Web will not share your address, e-mail address, credit card information or personal information to any third party without your permission. You hereby give your consent for How to Web to store the following types of data as a profile for internal purposes:

  1. Mandatory and voluntary data collected when purchasing tickets.
  2. Mandatory and voluntary data collected when providing opt-in consent.
  3. Voluntary disclosures when participating in online surveys.
  4. Data collected from any connected social media for which you have provided my explicit prior consent.

How to Web may use collected data for marketing and communication purposes, statistics and third party communication. How to Web shall disclose your contact information (such as: name, company, telephone number and e-mail) to third-party partners for you to receive information on events and opportunities addressed to startups. You may choose to change your preferences or opt-out from future communication, by sending us an email at [email protected].

Right of Access

You have a right to be given a copy of any of your personal data held by How to Web in accordance with section 4 of the Data Protection Acts subject to certain exceptions. Requests for a copy of your personal data can be emailed to [email protected] or addressed to: How to Web Executive Director, How to Web, Nicolae Filipescu 39-41, 2nd floor, 2nd district, Bucharest.

Right of Rectification or Erasure

If How to Web holds incorrect information about you which was originally submitted by you through the How to Web website, you have the right to have the data amended. Further, you have the right to have any information you have sent to us via this website erased.

To request your right to rectification and/or erasure please send your request to [email protected] or, in writing, addressed to: How to Web, Executive Director, How to Web, Nicolae Filipescu 39-41, 2nd floor, 2nd district, Bucharest.
Requests should include:

  1. Your name and address.
  2. A description of the specific personal data you wish rectified/ erased.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, How to Web cannot guarantee its absolute security and cannot accept any liability where the security of your Personal Information is compromised.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

How to Web reserves the right to modify this Data Protection Policy and Declaration of Consent at any time. Any changes will be posted on the www.howtoweb.co website and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of the changes.

9. EVENT CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT & SUBSTITUTION POLICY

How to Web is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration, cancellation or postponement of an event. How to Web shall assume no liability whatsoever in the circumstances that an event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of an event impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

Please note that while speakers and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing of the agenda, circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, How to Web reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.

10. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

You agree to be fully responsible for (and fully indemnify us against) all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including legal fees, suffered by us and arising out of any breach of the terms by you or any other liabilities incurred by us arising out of your use of the website, or use by any other person accessing the website using your pc or internet access account.

The Agreement between You and How to Web, these Terms and Conditions, the Data Protection Declaration and Privacy Notice are exclusively governed by the Romanian law.

Any dispute arising from the Agreement, these Terms and Conditions or the Data Protection Declaration and Privacy Notice will be submitted to the competent Romanian Courts.
