Timmy Ghiurău is a futurist, technologist, and ecosystem builder who has spent over 15 years pioneering innovation at the frontier of AI, XR, simulation, and foresight.
At Volvo Cars, he created the Innovation Arena, bringing immersive technologies into design, ergonomics research, validation, and self-driving UX. Helped Unity Technologies, scaling industrial adoption of simulation and AI, working closely with partners such as Varjo, NVIDIA, and Meta.
He is the co-founder of The Point Labs, a New Immersive Bauhaus that connects creativity with technology, and MidBrain, a venture focused on building emotionally intelligent AI agents. His work blends culture, foresight, and urban planning into technology projects, turning future scenarios into practical testbeds for innovation.
Timmy also advises the European Commission and national institutes on AI, digital twins, and innovation strategies, while investing in deeptech, robotics, and the creative industries. Recognized as a thought leader across Europe, he frequently speaks on global stages such as TED, SXSW, WEF, AWE, and Cannes. His mission is to establish strong research labs, experimental spaces, and cultural-tech hubs that anchor Europe’s next wave of innovation.
