Marius Dima is the founder of Qriton, where he develops neural-symbolic AI systems that combine AI with reliability for critical applications. He also leads civic-tech projects like iGov.ro, promoting open data governance and citizen participation.
Marius has been quietly working on one of AI's most pressing challenges: how to build systems that enterprises can actually trust. Through Qriton, he's developed neural-symbolic approaches that bring together the power of modern AI with the reliability that critical business applications demand.
His path to AI came through two decades in industrial automation, including work on offshore platforms and manufacturing systems where there's no room for error. This experience shapes his perspective, he believes AI should be both powerful and accountable, especially when real decisions and resources are at stake.
Beyond Qriton, Marius maintains several projects exploring different aspects of AI transparency and trust. Each addresses real-world problems, from content automation to secure communications and algorithmic accountability (AIRadio.Host, Onesti Cognitive City, ConfyChat, and BadTok). This range of work gives him unique insights into both the possibilities and limitations of current AI systems.
He's shared his perspectives at venues including AI Summit London and MIT, and holds patents in adaptive AI for manufacturing. Based in Germany, he brings a European perspective on AI governance and practical experience with emerging regulatory frameworks.
As part of the active Romanian civic society and member of The Diaspora Initiative (TDI), Marius envisions open data governance with citizen participation through iGov.ro.
At How to Web Conference 2025, Marius will present the first independent citizen audit of a public institution, showcasing how technology can restore transparency and strengthen democracy.
