Investor @ Balderton Capital

Tobias Winczer is an accomplished venture capital investor at Balderton Capital, one of Europe’s leading technology investment firms. Based in London, Tobias covers the Nordics, Baltics, and Central & Eastern Europe, identifying and supporting ambitious founders across the continent.

He joined Balderton’s investment team in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from both growth-stage and early-stage venture capital roles.

Before joining Balderton, Tobias was part of the growth-stage investment team at Target Global, where he focused on Series B to pre-IPO technology companies across Europe and Israel. His portfolio included investments in B2B software, digital health, and consumer mobile apps, contributing to the growth of several high-profile startups such as Robovision, Lepaya, Flo Health, and Amboss. Prior to that, he worked at Credo Ventures, a leading early-stage VC backing Central and Eastern European founders with global ambitions, and at IPM Group, a growth equity firm focused on tech and sustainability investments.

Tobias began his career on the operating side, working between product and data science at Exponea, a customer data analytics and marketing automation platform later acquired by Bloomreach. This hands-on experience gave him a strong foundation in product development and data-driven decision-making. He holds a degree in Economics from University College London (UCL) and is recognized for his analytical rigor and cross-regional expertise.

At How to Web 2025, attendees will benefit from Tobias’s unique perspective on venture capital across Europe, his insights into scaling technology companies, and his deep understanding of both early- and growth-stage investment dynamics. He will share actionable advice on what it takes to attract top-tier investors, build resilient teams, and succeed in competitive markets. Join Tobias to learn how to position your startup for success and connect with leading investors shaping the future of European tech.
