Sonia Oprean is the co-founder & co-CEO of Synerb, a social enterprise accelerator and impact advisory firm. A certified ACCA financial expert with a background at PwC, she leverages global consulting and portfolio management experience across Europe and Asia to build financially sustainable social ventures.
Sonia began her career in management consulting and financial services, from PwC Romania to leading an international team in the Philippines to build a legal process outsourcing firm from scratch. She then shifted into social entrepreneurship, developing impact investment portfolios with Villgro Innovations Foundation in India and serving as senior portfolio manager at NESsT Romania.
An active mentor and industry researcher, Sonia authored The Financial Sustainability of Social Enterprises in Romania, the first comprehensive study evaluating the sector's financial performance.
