Sasha Vidiborskiy is a Partner at Atomico based in London, specializing in enterprise software investments, including developer tools, cloud infrastructure, blockchain, web3, AI/ML apps, and deep tech. Sasha began his career as a quantum physicist, before transitioning into venture capital and startup operations.
He has led investments in companies such as Mondoo, Ben, Jobandtalent, Varjo, and Lakera—the latter being a GenAI security firm focused on protecting enterprises from vulnerabilities in large language models. He also has experience as a senior associate at Runa Capital, focusing on early-stage software ventures, and as business operations lead at Bitcalm, a backup and recovery SaaS for SMEs.
Sasha holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (with honors and leadership positions such as co-president of the Entrepreneurship Club), an MSc in Theoretical Physics from MISIS, and an MSc in Innovation Studies from Skoltech in collaboration with MIT. His investment philosophy centers on backing founders who challenge boundaries by building complex software products and transformational developer tools.
