Robert Berza is the Executive Director of Edge Institute, a Romanian think tank dedicated to accelerating sustainable digital transformation in Romania.
With over two decades of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, and media, Robert leads the institute’s mission to increase productivity and competitiveness through digital innovation.
Before joining Edge Institute, Robert had a successful career in retail and e-commerce leadership roles, notably serving as General Manager of Fashion Days Group from 2017 to 2024, and Vice President Fashion & Sport at eMAG, one of the largest online retailers in Central and Eastern Europe. He also held leadership positions at ZOOT, an online-offline fashion retailer.
The Edge Institute under Robert’s leadership brings together experts from technology, economics, banking, and innovation sectors to develop pragmatic policies and solutions for Romania’s public administration digitalization. The institute’s advisory board features prominent figures from leading Romanian and international companies, including eMAG, Google, BCR, and others.
Robert emphasizes Romania’s unique advantage as a digitally skilled population poised to benefit greatly from the digital decade framework (DESI) and aims to bridge gaps between digital adoption in public and private sectors.
