Nicoleta Cherciu is a technology and investment lawyer, AI legal expert, and the founder of Cherciu & Co. She advises venture capital funds on set-up, financing, and investment activities, and supports technology companies on product, IP, security, go-to-market, and corporate legal matters. Her work sits at the crossroads of law, innovation, and business strategy.
She was part of the US legal team at UiPath during its hypergrowth years and served as an external consultant for the European Parliament, providing policy recommendations on the regulation of AI, robotics, and online platforms. This dual experience—working with a global tech unicorn and shaping policy at the European level—gives her a rare perspective on how regulation, business, and technology intersect.
Nicoleta also brings expertise from her early career in dispute resolution and her continued involvement in academic research. This blend allows her to combine rigorous legal analysis with a pragmatic, product-focused approach.
She is an active member of the European Law Institute, the Robotics & AI Law Society, the IEEE Global Initiative on the Ethics of Extended Reality, and the Z-Inspection® Initiative, where she contributes to advancing legal and ethical frameworks around emerging technologies.
