Fanis is a senior principal at Big Pi Ventures, bringing 15 years of investment banking, growth equity and C-suite operating experience. Formerly the CFO of FlexCar, he led cross-border financial operations across four European markets before returning to venture capital to back early-stage, deep-tech and B2B founders.
Fanis began his career in London spending several years in TMT investment banking at Société Générale and Akira Partners. Transitioning into executive leadership, he served as CFO of scaleup FlexCar, where he spearheaded international financial strategy and rapid multi-market expansion.
At Big Pi Ventures, Fanis leverages this hybrid background in high-stakes dealmaking and hands-on operational scaling. He works closely with growth-stage founders across CEE and Southern Europe on financial strategy, capital allocation and international execution.
