Cristina Țoncu is the Co-founder and Programs Partner at Techcelerator, one of the leading startup accelerators in Romania and South Eastern Europe.
With over 15 years of experience supporting tech startups, she has designed and led dozens of programs that connect early-stage founders with funding, mentorship, and international growth opportunities. Under her leadership, Techcelerator has become a key player in the SEE ecosystem, backed by GapMinder VC and supported by global partners such as Google for Startups, HubSpot, and SeedBlink.
Cristina’s journey in the startup world began in 2009 with the Global Entrepreneurship Network, and since then she has been deeply involved in building Romania’s innovation ecosystem. She also serves as Regional Director of ROTSA (Romanian Tech Startups Association), is a member of Bravva Angels, and collaborates with investment platforms like SeedBlink and venture funds including GapMinder.
An economist by training, Cristina has worked on programs like RICAP, EIT Digital ARISE, Investors’ Day, and Scale Match, always focused on bridging founders, investors, and corporate innovation partners. Passionate about empowering early-stage entrepreneurs, she continues to shape the regional landscape by fostering stronger connections, smarter funding strategies, and sustainable growth for startups across Central and Eastern Europe.
