Since joining Lead Ventures in 2018, Haszonics has driven the firm's growth and strategic direction while building expertise in identifying startups with outstanding growth potential and global ambitions. His investment approach combines deep sector knowledge with corporate finance expertise gained from senior roles at major regional companies.
Before Lead Ventures, Balázs Haszonics served as CFO for trading and retail businesses at MOL Group, one of the largest energy companies in the region, giving him unique insights into scaling operations and navigating complex markets. Haszonics also gained experience in M&A, financial advisory, and valuation at PwC, MSCI Barra, and ING Bank, plus briefly advised the European Parliament's Industry, Research and Energy Committee. He actively serves as board member for portfolio companies including Recart, GoodVision, BitNinja Security, and Amodo.
