Ana Crețu is the Director of Social Impact Investment at ERSTE Foundation, where she leads the design, development, and implementation of the Foundation’s Social Impact Investment Strategy.
With over 13 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and impact innovation, Ana brings a unique blend of financial expertise and mission-driven vision to her work.
Before joining ERSTE Foundation, Ana played a pivotal role in BCR’s Social Banking Department, where she initiated and managed projects across the innovation spectrum. She helped launch Romania’s first corporate venture capital vehicle owned by a bank, supporting tech startups that graduated from the InnovX-BCR accelerator. She continues to serve as a Co-Founder and Board Advisor to InnovX-BCR, shaping collaborations between startups, corporates, universities, NGOs, and public authorities.
Her career spans M&A, ECM, and venture financing, but also impact-driven initiatives that uncover the positive role technology can play in health, education, climate, equality, and well-being. Ana is also a fellow of the Aspen Institute Young Leaders Program, where she advocates for stronger partnerships between startups and corporates to maximize innovation at a regional level.
With a deep belief in using technology for good, Ana’s mission is to help channel capital and resources toward solutions that generate both financial returns and measurable social impact.
