Adrian Rosoaga is the Chief Investment Officer at BCR Seed Starter, the corporate venture capital arm of Banca Comercială Română (BCR). He brings over 15 years of experience in the financial advisory industry, with a strong background in coordinating complex and highly competitive M&A, equity capital markets (ECM), and debt capital markets (DCM) processes.
Adrian is a CFA charterholder and specializes in M&A advisory, corporate finance, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring and negotiation, and business modeling.
At BCR Seed Starter, Adrian leads the investment process focused on minority equity investments in technology startups at the seed and late-seed stages, primarily targeting Romanian startups but also looking at opportunities across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The fund has a flexible investment approach, emphasizing strategic value creation for BCR and its clients alongside financial returns, with typical investment tickets ranging between €300,000 and €600,000.
He highlights that unlike traditional venture capital funds, BCR Seed Starter is less aggressive on exit timing and financial returns, focusing instead on long-term value for the bank and portfolio companies. The fund aims to create a broad portfolio of Romanian startups, supporting them not only financially but also by facilitating access to BCR’s clients and leveraging the bank’s brand for additional market traction.
Attendees will also be able to learn from Adrian during the Venture in Eastern Europe event on September 30th, where he will share his perspective on building strong investment pipelines, supporting early-stage founders, and shaping the CEE venture landscape.
