Czech Founders
Our story
In March 2019, a group of startup founders gathered at a Restaurant in Karlin, dubbed “the Silicon Valley of Czechia.” They discussed business challenges and shared experiences. More dinners followed throughout the year and beyond, quickly growing in size. By 2021, this community formalized into Czech Founders, a non-profit organization. As the team expanded, so did their activities, including events, surveys, and initiatives tailored to the founders’ feedback. Community-driven values continue to guide Czech Founders today.
Since that very first dinner back in 2019, Czech Founders have:
- grown to 1000+ members,
- organized over 30 events for more than 2,000 founders,
- launched education programs for 200 founders,
- built an investment firm, Czech Founders VC, backed up by successful founders who decided to invest by giving a part of their financial resources and time back to the community to help solve the problem of low pre-seed activity in Czech and Slovak markets.
