AGENDA

DAY 1 Monday, 19th of November 2018

UNICORNS AND BLACK SWANS (I)

Technology advancement has created the perfect context for silent revolutions. In any business vertical, startups are making a mark. Technology has become more than infrastructure – it has become the main growth driver in business and not only. Along with visionary leaders and activists we discuss the new opportunities the ever changing landscape of technology is providing.

DISRUPTING DEMOCRACY

Exploiting social media channels has become part of the modern warfare arsenal. Micro-targeting, fake news or video manipulation are just some of the weapons we now know of, and their impact on our democracies and societies is just now starting to be analysed and addressed.

BLOCKCHAIN IN ACTION

“Blockchain everything” has undoubtedly been the mantra for techies in the last two years. But the Bitcoin instability and related thefts, the ICO scams and a plethora of failed projects makes you want to scratch your head and ask yourself: “Is blockchain ANY good?”. Seems like a good time to discuss some of the practical use-cases of blockchain along with experts and entrepreneurs.

FINTECH IS THE NEW BLACK

The fintech sector has attracted $31 billions in financing in 2017. There is no shortage of success stories, with many digital-first unicorns becoming the services of choice for enterprise, SMEs or individual clients. Bankers, consultants and the new fintech guys on the block will be discussing money management of the future and how we can all get a share of it.
