Entrepreneurial skills in focus at the Belgrade HTW Community Event 2011

The Belgrade HTW Community Event will happen on Thursday, the 16th of June 2011, at the Grad Cultural Center. The event’s purpose is to promote the entrepreneurial spirit and startup culture in Serbia and the keynote presentations will focus mainly on entrepreneurial skills and will try to educate, inform and inspire local young entrepreneurs and wanna-be entrepreneurs.

Mike Butcher, Katy Turner, Patrick De Laive are just some of the keynote speakers which will attend the Belgrade HTW Community Event.

The event will be opened by Tomaz Stolfa from vox.io which will focus on ways to start an international business from Ljubljana or other places which are not Silicon Valley, London or New York. We will continue with Luka Abrus, the Five Minutes CEO, which will share with you his story about the Croatian startup ShoutEm. Katy Turner will then give you some tips on how to find, approach and engage a VC for your business.

Later in the evening, Mike Butcher from TechCrunch Europe will share some tips on how to deal with the media without screwing up. The event will end in a positive way with a panel focused on the advantages of building a startup in Europe.

The Belgrade HTW Community Event will also challenge Serbian entrepreneurs to a startup competition which you already know from last year’s How To Web conference – Startup Challenge. The 5 finalists of the competition will have the chance to present in front of the event’s audience on the main stage their 5 minute elevator pitch.
